“Awesome wedding venue whatever the weather”
“Chaucer barn was the venue for our wedding a few weeks ago. We fell in love with the place after our first visit – the grounds are stunning and the barn is beautifully decorated too. The weather wasn’t on our side on the day, so our ceremony was in the banqueting hall instead of the woodland, but in a way I’m so glad it ended up being inside as it felt so intimate in the banqueting hall.”
“We made the max possible use of the barn over the weekend, by having a formal ceremony and meal for family on the first day and then inviting our friends for a big party day on the second day. This worked really well for us and meant that we could stretch out the celebrations!
Jenna and the team at chaucer were amazing! So many other venues we visited had restrictions about what you could do, where and when. At chaucer barn, they helped us turn every idea we had into reality. The set up is the perfect balance of having the flexibility to do almost anything you like to make your day special and unique whilst also having the team there to support you, make sure everything runs smoothly, help coordinate with suppliers, move furniture on the day etc.
We had the best weekend and cannot thank the team at chaucer barn enough!”

“Truly Wonderful Wedding Venue”
“Chaucer Barn is set in the most magical rural setting, and is not far from the stunning North Norfolk coastline. We hired the Barn for 3 days for our daughter’s and son-in-law’s wedding as they fell in love with the grounds and gardens for an outdoor ceremony.”

“My lovely husband and I got married 2 weeks ago and had our reception at Chaucer Barn. We and our friends and family occupied the barn for 3 days and never wanted to leave! What a place!!!! ”
“So beautiful inside and out and with great staff that really helped us to make all our wedding wishes come true.
The bedrooms (there are 9) were all beautifully styled and each different to the rest. The gardens are just wow and great for photos (and playing cricket).
We enjoyed Chaucer Barn so much that we’re thinking of going back next year for a family weekend.

“Fantastic Wedding Venue”
“We made a list of wedding venues to visit and went to Chaucer Barn first – after seeing the barn we fell in love with it immediately and never made it to the rest! We definitely made the right choice.”
“The staff at the barn were excellent and helped from initial ideas through to the organisation on the day itself . The possibility of staying the night before and two nights after the wedding made for a very relaxed few days. We had 14 family and friends staying at the barn allowing us to have a meal together the night before the wedding and a brilliant day of outdoor games (while finishing left over wine + prosecco!) the day after.
The flexibility of the venue allows you to put your own ideas into practice so you can go as simple or elaborate as you like, we chose to keep it relatively small so we could fully utilise the barn’s internal space for the wedding day. The range of rooms allowed people to relax in the quiet or join the party as they pleased which allowed us to cater for everyone.
Overall it made for a brilliant experience that we will never forget in stunning surroundings; we are already thinking of finding an excuse to book the barn again for a family gathering!”

“We had our wedding reception here recently and it was the perfect breath-taking venue with the wow factor we had hoped for!”
“The house and gardens are just so spectacular! The rooms are beautiful, very tastefully decorated and comfortable with amazing views. The space is perfect for a big family to stay for the whole weekend and we loved being able to stay on until Monday with all our family enjoying the large dining / kitchen area and lounge.
Laura was very helpful in replying promptly to emails and coordinating suppliers for the big day. There were no hidden costs and we really felt that it was worth every penny we spent.
The meadows and gardens were wonderful for BBQs and playing games the next day. This was really the perfect wedding venue!”

“WOW! Chaucer Barn is pure magic. From the moment we drove up to the venue we were in love with it & didn’t hesitate to choose it for our wedding.”
“It was beyond perfect – the staff were all so helpful & Laura especially helped answer all my many questions on the run up to the day! We stayed for 3 nights – Day 1 was a BBQ at the house (it has the biggest kitchen table I’ve ever seen & perfect for hosting friends!), Day 2 a big rounders match at Holkham beach nearby and the following day we had the most magical wedding day.
The venue suits both the informal gatherings as well as the more formal ones but the whole vibe of the place oozes happiness & you all instantly feel at home there. All our wedding suppliers were equally fantastic – ‘the best wedding food ever’ from Alex Chef, Heather Carpenter Floral Designs for perfectly fitting flowers, Amelia Garwood for hair&makeup, and Alexa Loy photography to capture all the happy smiles.

“Family wedding at the stunning Chaucer Barn. We were so well looked after by an enthusiastic staff. The Barn itself is just beautiful, carefully mixing old and new.”
“We filled the bedrooms as the loving couple wanted to have both families mixing before the wedding, so games in the garden. It worked. Weather fantastic so ceremony outdoors but a plan B was easy to organise. You have to cater yourself, but the Barn made good recommendations for caterers, equipment, DJ and guitarist. I highly recommend the venue for weddings or family celebrations.”

“Our guests may not have been too impressed with the 3 hour journey, but immediately appreciated why we made the choice to have our wedding outside of London upon arrival and have not stopped talking about it since, with their biggest highlight being the Archery! The blank canvas it offers is second to none as it allowed us to create a personal, intimate and fun-filled day that we will never forget! The staff were fantastic from the moment we viewed the venue, who will put you at ease and answer any questions along the way. To conclude, we cannot wait to return to this beautiful, tranquil place for a weekend getaway, and wish we could do it all over again!!”
